Context

So far in the course I have learned to utilise a set to enhance my traditions between shots, by using a passby transition, where at the end one shot A would pan past a solid object, like a wall, then shot B would start by panning in the same direction out of a solid object, to better maintain the immersion rather than using a simple cut or dissolve

Year 1 - What was your FMP, how did it go and what mistakes will you correct?

Opposed to my first year FMP, I will produce a wide collection of clips, not just those I planned, by alternating angles or shot types, to possible give a better atmosphere or context to a scene. I would much sooner have too many shots that I don't need than to have to reshoot numerous times throughout a production.

What has been the highlight of year 2 so far and why?

So far my research project has been my highlight, due to being given a chance to research into virtual reality, as well as its effects on the user. I am very passionate about virtual reality, what the tech can do and how it can help so many people.

What technical skills have you developed in Year 2?

I am now able to better make use of traditions to maintain the flow of a scene, by using my practical effects opposed to post prediction effects, to keep a smooth consistent flow

What skills do you want to improve and develop as part of your FMP?

I want to improve my visual storytelling, my FMP is a silent short film based on the mixed feeling in mental health, for those who do not feel as they fit into the 'depression' group, nor feel emotionally sound. So I will be challenging myself to use environmental queues and body language along with the use of different shot types and angles to tell my story.

This is a good start Charlie, consider adding in examples, links and images. Ed.P
