ABOUT ME

My name is Charley Lukas, I'm from Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, and moved to Somerset and lived here when I was 6, from a young age I've had a passion for media, I've always loved making amateur youtube videos as a kid, filming basic short films and photography. When I was around 8, I got my hands on my mum's camera, and I basically never let it, taking mundane or arbitrary photos of my simple 8-year-old life, not having any idea of what I'm doing, but capturing this moment, for as long as I wanted. When I was 10 I began recording narrative-based content on youtube alongside a friend, we did this for years and loved being able to play video games and turn them into stories, even if they only got 10-20 views, I developed this infatuation with games & movies, I've always admired how films/video games and other media created these immense realities. Movies such as Ready Player One, Avengers Endgame, The Dark Knight Rises and Sam Ramies Spiderman trilogy, were all so unique and interesting, it only made my desire to produce media even stronger. 
For me photography is much more than an image on a screen, it tells a story, anyone can take a photo, anyone can pick up a camera and become a photographer, but few look beyond that photograph.
And that's why I founded Lukas Photography, to capture those special moments for others, perfect them, and share my talent with the world.
